Helen Louise Throm
Helen Louise Throm, 87, of Butler died Thursday at the Parker Personal Care Home in Parker.
She was born Jan. 14, 1923, in Greensburg, the daughter of Edward Raymond and Mary Elizabeth (Anderson) Eyring.
Helen was a 1940 graduate of Greensburg High School. She was a private secretary for several companies in Greensburg before marrying. Later, she was a caseworker for the Pennsylvania Department of Public Assistance, first in Westmoreland County and then in Butler County. Her favorite job was being a grandmother and great-grandmother.
Helen was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Jeannette.
She married George C. Throm on June 28, 1946, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 26, 1993.
Helen has two children, Carole (Nicholas) Toubakaris of Butler and Paul D. (Denise) Throm of Butler. She has five grandchildren she dearly loved, Jennifer (Marc) Scimone of West Chester, Paul P. (Andrea) Throm of Prospect, Michael Toubakaris of Butler, Christina (Kevin) Lozier of Orlando, Fla., and Matthew G. Throm of Butler. She also has one great-granddaughter and four great-grandsons, Breanna and Nicholas Scimone, Liam Throm and Lawson and Kevin Lozier.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

A committal service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Greenlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
