Missi DeHart of Evans City was crowned Butler County Dairy Princess June 5 at Mt. Chestnut Presbyterian Church. Missi DeHart of Evans City was named Butler County Dairy Princess at the Butler County Dairy Princess Pageant held June 5 at Mt. Chestnut Presbyterian Church.

She is the owner of dairy cows, Brown Swiss and Holsteins and has been a member of the Butler County Dairy Court for many years, serving as a Dairy Miss and Dairy Maid.

DeHart is the vice president of the Butler County 4-H Dairy Club and president of the Dunbar Ag. 4-H Club. She is a member of Butler County Community College's Hospitality Management Club, where she is the historian and student representative at the National Restaurant Association Convention in Chicago.

She is the daughter of Bill and Bonnie DeHart of Evans City. She is a 2009 graduate of Seneca Valley High School and is currently enrolled at Butler County Community College, where she is majoring in hospitality and restaurant management.

Holly Chos of New Orleans, formerly of Butler, created a painting, titled "In This House," to honor all service men and women.The 24-by-30-inch painting of the American flag includes a poem written by Chos on the flag's 13 stripes.Chos is a 1993 graduate of Butler High School.Those who donate between $30 and $250 will receive the signed and numbered print on paper. </B>Alyssa Blum, 11, was chosen as a state finalist in the National American Miss Pennsylvania Pageant to be held Aug. 13 and 14 at the Hilton Harrisburg.The National American Miss pageants are held for girls ages 4 to 18 and have five age divisions. Blum will compete in the preteen age division. She is the daughter of Barry and Angel Blum of West Sunbury.
