Donald C. Hinderliter, 82, of Sarver died Saturday at the VA Butler Healthcare.

Born March 23, 1928, in South Buffalo Township, Armstrong County, he was the son of McKinley Hinderliter and Carrie (Alter) Hinderliter.

He served in the U.S. Navy from 1948 to 1952.

He had worked for Union National Bank, Thomas A. Mekis & Sons Construction and Ultra Precision.

He was a longtime member of the Buffalo Presbyterian Church and The Brotherhood singing group.

He enjoyed bowling, golfing, singing, watching sports and his grandchildren's activities.

Surviving are his wife, Elsie Montgomery Hinderliter, to whom he was married June 18, 1955; two sons, Dennis (Diane) Hinderliter of Cabot and Barry Hinderliter of Butler; his daughter, Sharon (Matthew) Sgriccia of Douglassville; and three grandchildren, Cavan, Cullen and Calla.

Preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers, Howard and John Hinderliter; and a sister, Edith Jordan.

<B>HINDERLITER</B> — Friends of Donald C. Hinderliter, who died Saturday, May 15, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>Fox Funeral Home</B>, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Buffalo Presbyterian Church.
