Nicholas Dunlap
In loving memory of Nicholas Dunlap
whose birthday is June 13th.
Twenty years ago today we were blessed with our last bundle of joy whose sparkling eyes, beautiful smile and head full of black hair captured our hearts.
The joy and the pride we felt that day only grew as you grew.
Through your infancy, toddler days, elementary school years and then as a teenager we knew you were special and that we were so blessed to have you.
Through your 16 month battle with brain tumors you were a blessing to many others also - with your courage, strength, grace, faith, and never complaining attitude.
You were such an inspiration to all and captured the hearts of everyone.
Therefore my sweetheart, you'll always be remembered, loved and missed by so many - none more so though as your own loving family who knew you best.
And who will continue to thank God for the incredible, brave, kind and loving son, brother and uncle that he blessed us with for 13
Z\x years on earth and now in heaven. As in years past, we will once again be celebrating your birthday at Relay for Life. Our shirts are your favorite color of blue, our logo - a knight to represent your bravery, the sword to battle cancer and of course our team name, "
Nicky's Knights
".
Through the support of your family, friends and community over the past seven years, we've raised over $50,000 for the American Cancer Society - our birthday present to you.
We know you would be doing everything you could to help prevent another child from going through what you went through.
As we walk around the track and pass each sign given in your memory, . . . we'll think of you.
As we pass each person wearing that blue shirt or "Nick" button, . . . we'll think of you.
As the sun sets and the many luminaries are lit in your memory . . . we'll think of you.
As we walk the track and the clock turns to 12:01 AM, we'll silently sing, "Happy Birthday" and . . . we'll think of you.
Thinking of you . . ., is an everyday, bitter sweet pleasure.
"Happy 20th Birthday, Buddy"
"We Love and Miss You Soo . . . Much",
"ALWAYS and FOREVER"
