Louis Kemper
Louis Kemper, 75, of Concordia Nursing Home in Cabot, formerly of East Penn Street, died at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia in Cabot.
Born Dec. 3, 1934, in Butler, he was the son of the late Louis Kemper and Florence McCann Kemper.
Mr. Kemper was a teacher for the Butler School District, from where he retired in 1995.
He was Catholic by faith.
Mr. Kemper was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and also served in the Army Reserves.
Louis enjoyed fishing, hunting and especially traveling, having visited 51 countries.
Mr. Kemper is survived by one sister, Joan Kriley and her husband, Bernard, of Butler; one brother, Dr. Richard Kemper of Columbia, S.C.; one brother-in-law, Bernard Black of Butler; and also by six nieces and nine nephews.
Mr. Kemper was preceded in death by one sister, Louise Black.
<B>KEMPER</B> — At the request of Louis Kemper, who died Wednesday, April 21, 2010, there will be no public visitation. A memorial Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church. Interment will follow in St. Peter Cemetery.Memorial contributions may be made to the Butler Area Public Library, 218 N.
