The East Butler VFC Ambulance service is conducting its subscription campaign. Fees are due June 31. Letters were mailed to residents in East Butler, Summit Township, Clearfield Township and a portion of Oakland Township. To subscribe, call the ambulance service at 724-285-6261.

Seniors for Safe Driving will host classes for those age 55 and older. FORD CITY —The Armstrong School District will conduct the General Educational Development 2002 test from 6 to 10 p.m. June 15 and 16 at the Ford City High School Library, 4th Ave. and 11th St. Registration deadline is June 11.Applicants must be Pennsylvania residents, be at least 18 and not enrolled in school. Those 16 to 18 must present a written request from an employer, a school or an armed forces recruiting officer. PROSPECT — The Republican Women of Butler County will host the Celebrating Women in Politics Tea at 10:30 a.m. June 12 at the Homestead, 1280 Prospect Road. Former U.S. prosecutor Mary Beth Buchanan is among the confirmed speakers.The tea will provide attendees with the opportunity to interact with women successful in politics. ZELIENOPLE — Zelienople Public Library, 227 South High Street, will hold a fundraiser in conjunction with the Butler Blue Sox.Tickets are $5 for the 6:35 p.m. July 15 game at Pullman Park.If you cannot attend July 15, tickets can be used for any other home game.Tickets are available at the library. PROSPECT — Prospect Community Library, 357 Main St., will begin registration for the summer reading program, "Make a Splash — READ!" during an ice cream social from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 18.Children will explore the world of water through stories, songs, games and other activities.
