The

Butler County Humane Society received a donation of more than $450 from members of the

Consolidated Communications Spirit Team.The Spirit Team is a group of employees who organize events to promote a positive and fun work environment at Consolidated Communications. The team organized a Wii Bowling Tournament in March and selected the Humane Society as the beneficiary of its proceeds.———

Sara O'Donnell of Butler was named Alumni Nurse of the Year at the Butler Memorial Hospital Nurses' annual banquet held at the Grand Ballroom at Cornerstone Commons.She is a graduate of Butler High School and a 1951 graduate of Butler Memorial Hospital School of Nursing.O'Donnell worked for Butler Memorial Hospital and Chicora Medical Center.She has served the alumni on the flower and card, yearbook, and program committees. She also has served as secretary and treasurer.The Nurses Alumni also installed new officers, including co-presidents
