CLARION — Slippery Rock resident Marty Rinker, head coach of the Clarion University men's golf team, has led the team to the NCAA Division II National Championship for the first time in the school's history.

The upcoming tournament is being held at the Sagamore Club in Noblesville, Ind.

SLIPPERY ROCK — Knoch graduate and Slippery Rock University junior Chelsea Gibson won her singles match 6-2, 6-2 and teamed with Jessica Hilborn for an 8-6 doubles win to help The Rock women's tennis team to a 5-0 victory over Indiana (Pa.) Friday.The win propels SRU (20-5) to the NCAA Division II reginal final for the fourth straight season.
