DOESN'T THAT GET YOUR GOAT?
Just like today, the federal census was making news in 1970. Census takers back then were reporting a number of rather comical encounters while attempting to collect citizen information. For instance survey taker Gertrude Barto, right, was at the home of the Daniel McKain family at Butler RD3 when the family goat, Rudy, took a sizable bite out of one corner of the form. Clyde, the cat at front, didn't seem to care much one way or the other.
