GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Knoch graduate and University of Michigan freshman gymnast Natalie Beilstein earned All-America status by placing seventh in floor exercise at the NCAA Individual Event Finals over the weekend at the University of Florida.

Beilstein tied for seventh with a mark of 9.8750. She stumbled during her first tumbling pass, but was able to recover.

Michigan won the Big Ten championship and placed among the nation's top 10 teams for the 17th time.

RICHMOND, Va. — John Reed, 11, and his sister, Caitlin, 9, of Gibsonia finished first and second in their respective age groups at the USA Triathlon 2010 Youth National Duathlon Championship over the weekend.They competed against elite male and female athletes age 7 to 12.Duathlon consists of a run-bike-run sequence. The youth national championship race distances were a 1K run, 4K bike ride, 1K run.John Reed won the male 11-and-12 division and was first overall in the youth championship race with a course record time of 16 minutes, 52 seconds.Caitlin placed second in the female 9-and-10 division with a time of 20:01, which also gave her a fifth-place overall finish in the entire female category.
