Walter Smith of Butler received the Distinguished Toastmaster Award, the highest honor of Toastmaster International.Smith completed 40 speeches, served as a club officer and a district officer and mentored a club and a new member.Smith has been a member of Early Bird Toastmasters since 2002. Smith served as district sergeant of arms, area governor, division governor and district speakers bureau chair.He is a sales consultant for Everdry Waterproofing of Evans City.———

Donna Croft of Butler traveled to Quichinche, Ecuador, in March with the Tandana Foundation. Croft, a pharmacy technician, was part of a group of health care volunteers who provided medical care to 428 community members. The Tandana Foundation organizes such trips as part of its volunteer vacations program.———Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania named

Susan Morrow of Butler a member at large for board development.Morrow serves on the board development committee and is a lifetime member of Girl Scouts of the USA.
