Mary A. Sheppeck
Mary A. Sheppeck, 86, of Dutchtown Road in Butler died Sunday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
She was born Jan. 4, 1924, in Butler, a daughter of the late Michael and Catherine Trygar Schultz (Szul).
Mary was a homemaker, mother and grandmother and was a member of St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church in Lyndora.
Mrs. Sheppeck enjoyed baby-sitting, gardening and especially enjoyed being with her family.
Her husband, Samuel L. Sheppeck, whom she married July 28, 1945, preceded her in death on June 25, 1983. Four brothers and one sister also preceded her in death.
Surviving are her children, Samuel L. Sheppeck Jr. and Mary Ann Erkens, both of Butler; and her grandson, Matthew Sheppeck of Butler. Several nieces and nephews also survive her.
<B>SHEPPECK </B>—<B> </B>Friends of Mary A. Sheppeck, who died Sunday, March 21, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St. in Butler. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday from St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church in Lyndora. Interment will follow at Butler County Memorial Park.The Bereavement Committee of St. Fidelis Parish will meet at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home to conduct a parish prayer service.Information also is available at www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
