Francis A. Maitland
In loving memory of our husband and dad, Francis A. Maitland
Happy 65th Birthday April 24, 1945
Tears still fall, and hearts still ache.
From the day you heard angels call
And though we had to stay behind,
We know you're side by side with friends and family
Walking softly on the clouds
Tell Ray and Ramie we miss them.
Tell Mom I love her.
Tell Grandma it will be good to meet her one day.
Know that you are not forgotten.
When night falls and all is quiet, I cannot help but think of you and wonder how so many things went wrong so quickly; you have enhanced the heavens since December 13th. You faced so many tragedies and obstacles your entire life; together, during the last thirty years, we weathered these challenges and battles that life presented. Your body became so weary that the final battle was not to be won. In shock, we watched you slip away from us when we least expected it. I have found solace in the knowledge that since February, Dakota has walked alongside you, Ray and Ramie. Sky, so lonely without you, has a new playmate named Christmas. Misty, Sherry, Francine and I will miss sharing your 65th birthday, but we find comfort knowing you're finally able to enjoy a huge birthday cake ¿ chocolate, of course.
Missing and loving you,
Georgiann & Sky
