Margaret Dolores Young

Margaret Dolores Young of Butler celebrated her 80th birthday with a family dinner at her daughter's home.

The former Margaret Hipple was born April 8, 1930, in Chicora. She married Edward Young on Nov. 27, 1952, in Mater Dolorosa Roman Catholic Church.

She has eight children, Debra Podbros of Cranston, R.I., Duane Young of Russellville Ark., David Young, Daryl Young, Denis Young and Deron Young, all of Butler, Diane McDonald of Chicora and Doris Young-Peters of Butler.

She also has 20 grandchildren.

She is retired as a registered nurse at VNA.

She is a member of St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church in Carbon Center.
