Virginia Morrow Yossa

Yossa

Virginia May (Morrow) "Aunt Fuzz" Yossa, 76, of Butler passed away quietly Wednesday at her home surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Born June 22, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Edith I. and Lewis O. Morrow.

Virginia, known as "Aunt Fuzz" to her family and many friends, was a registered nurse. She retired from Butler Memorial Hospital in 1994.

She worked many years for Dr. John W. Shadle as his secretary, and after his retirement, she pursued a nursing degree as a non-traditional student and graduated from Butler County Community College in 1980. She excelled in her studies, and she absolutely loved nursing and helping others in need.

She was a member of St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church in Meridian.

Aunt Fuzz loved to spend time with her family, read and bake, especially pies and biscotti. She was the kindest and most caring person to everyone. It was a privilege to know her, and she will be sadly missed by all.

She is survived by her loving nephew, Lewis "Skip" Morrow and his wife, Diane; her godchild and great-niece; Monica McElroy and her husband, Bill; her great-niece, Tricia Johns and her husband, Jeff; and her great-nephew, Christopher and his wife, Debbie. Her family was completed by her great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews, Alec, Alli, Ariana, Liam and Malina. She also is survived by two devoted nieces, Cathy Towner and Cheryl Ehrhart; a number of nieces, nephews and cousins; and her dear close friends, Pat Doutt, Mary Lou Bollinger and Mary Kile.
