Mary Lee Allen Forsythe, 66, of Hendersonville, N.C., died suddenly Tuesday.

Born July 19, 1943, in Grove City, she was the daughter of the late Byron C. Allen and Helen Detisch Allen. She also was preceded in death by a sister, Bonnie Cravens, formerly of Indianapolis.

Mrs. Forsythe was employed for 40 years with the Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. She previously lived in Medfield, Mass., before retiring to Hendersonville in 2004.

She is survived by her loving husband, Glenn Forsythe; a son, Christopher Hilyard; four brothers, Stephen Allen and his wife, Linda, of Uniontown, Ohio, Byron Allen and his wife, Polly, of Honeybrook, Pa., Michael Allen and his wife Joanne of Vermillion, S.D., and Anthony Allen and his wife, Carly, of Warren, Ohio; a sister, Joan Engelhardt and her husband, Tom, of Laredo, Texas; and a number of nieces and nephews.
