Alice Leona Stewart, 83, of Butler passed away Sunday at her home.

She was born March 3, 1926, in Butler, the daughter of the late Darrell Matson and Helen Vinroe Matson.

Alice enjoyed bowling in leagues, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are four daughters, Darlene (David) McCurdy, Linda (John) Bedford, and Karen (JJ) Robinson and Stacy (Tom) Morando, all of Butler; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are a sister, Wanda (George) Beck of Butler; two brothers, Raymond (Mary) Matson and James (Marsha) Matson, both of Butler; a sister-in-law, Sonnie Matson; and a brother-in-law, Mark Mincer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Stewart, who died Jan. 11, 2001; one sister, Carol Mincer; and one brother, Kenneth Matson.
