Teen tractor safety program set
CLARION — A tractor and machinery safety certification program for teens will be offered March 9 at the Clarion County Cooperative Extension Office, 8 Grant St.
To comply with the Fair Labor Standards Act, youths 14 to 16 must be certified to operate farm tractors and certain machinery on farms.
The course will be a self-study at home format in conjunction with a 4-H project club.
To participate, the youth and one parent or guardian must attend the meeting from 7 to 9 p.m. that day.
The fee is $15.
To participate you must register by Friday.
