WESTERN AUTO SHARES PROFIT
Employees of Western Auto Supply's Butler Division hold a check Feb. 21, 1967, representing the $109,461.20 division employees had been credited for in 1966. The amount credited to the account for each participant in the program was equivalent to more than five weeks of base pay. Holding the check are, from left, J.C. Grissom, division manager, and the five newest division participants, Karen Allison, Joseph Bowser, Cleora Bevan, Chester Call Jr. and David Chapman. To qualify, an employee had to work for the company three full calendar years before sharing profits and becoming eligible for the retirement plan.
