Myrna M. Ashbaugh, 103, of St. Petersburg, Clarion County, died at 4 a.m. Monday at Clarview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Sligo. She was the borough's oldest resident.

Mrs. Ashbaugh was born on April 6, 1906 in Richland Township, Clarion County. She was the daughter of Francis I. and Mary Frances Knight Master.

She was a long time member of the St. Petersburg United Methodist Church as well as the United Methodist Women of the Church. She was a member of the St. Petersburg Women's Club and was one of the original members of the Golden Rule Club of Alum Rock.

She enjoyed crossword puzzles and playing cards. She was a homemaker.

In 1972, she served on the centennial committee for St. Petersburg. She was a 1923 graduate of St. Petersburg Richland High School.

She was married Nov. 28, 1923, in the village of Monroe, Clarion County, to Paul C. Ashbaugh. He preceded her in death Feb. 5, 1987.

Survivors include six sons and their wives, Denton C. and Betty Ashbaugh of St. Petersburg, Keith M. and Mary Margaret Ashbaugh of Poland, Ohio, Paul D. and Kathryn Ashbaugh of St. Petersburg, James O. and Rachel Ashbaugh of Franklin, Larry G. and MaryLynne Ashbaugh of Bristolville, Ohio, and Richard V. and Carol Ashbaugh of Falconer, N.Y. Also surviving are 27 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, 19 great-great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Ashbaugh was preceded in death by two daughters and their husbands, Madeline M. and Sheldon Morrison and Norma Jean and Charles McHenry. Also preceding her in death were four brothers, Clarence, Ebner, Charles, and Francis Master; five sisters, Grace Carroll, Alma Ashbaugh, Marie Ketchem, Florence Boyd, and Wilna Best; a granddaughter; a great-granddaughter; and two great-great-grandsons.

<B>ASHBAUGH</B> — Friends of Myrna M. Ashbaugh, who died Monday, Jan. 18, 2010, will be received from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at the St. Petersburg United Methodist Church, 180 Church St., St. Petersburg. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. at the church with the Rev. Dan Myers, church pastor, officiating.
