Butler Memorial Hospital has added two doctors to the medical staff.

Dr. Robert Hornsby and Dr. Sandy Lu have been appointed to the staff.

n Hornsby, a family practitioner, will also see patients at the Chicora Medical Center Butler Medical Associates Office in Chicora. He earned his medical degree from East Carolina University School of Medicine in North Carolina. He received his bachelor's degree in biology from Western Carolina University. He received a number of honors for his service in Iraq.

• Lu will also see patients at Primary Care Associates, 480 E. Jefferson St. She earned her medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. She also earned a bachelor's degree in biochemistry from Temple, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She has worked in the Washington (Pa.) Hospital's emergency department and at the University of Pennsylvania in the pulmonary, allergy and critical care division.

HARRISBURG — Gov. Ed Rendell has nominated Michael DeRiggi of Cranberry Township for reappointment to the state Board of Barber Examiners.This appointment requires state Senate confirmation.
