Jeffrey A. Wike, 54, of Franklin, formerly of Irwin Township, passed away in Irwin Township Sunday after a sudden illness.

Born in Grove City, Nov. 30, 1955, he was the son of Wilmer S. and Elizebath L. "Betty" Pensy Wike.

He married Deborah L. Reynolds on April 21, 1999, and she survives.

Jeff had worked for the Bracken Trucking Co. of Butler before a disability.

He enjoyed helping with family trucking business in Irwin Township with his family. He had driven truck for several years before his retirement in Butler and Venango counties.

He graduated from Franklin High School in 1973, and after graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force for four years.

He enjoyed wood crafting, auto body work, family pets and hunting earlier in life. But most of all, he enjoyed conversion with his family and friends.

In addition to his wife, surviving are his mother, Elizebath L. "Betty" Wike of Wesley; two daughters, Mrs. R. Clark (Jessica M.) George of Fort Irwin, Calif., and April L. Wike of Saegertown, Pa; and one son, Philip J. Ross of Pittsburgh. Five grandchildren survive, Kyleigh R. and Robert C. of California, Conner George of Alaska, Kelsie E. Estrada of California and Katelyn S. George of California. One sister survives, Mrs. Gaylord "Elizebath L." Matthews of Harrisville. One brother survives, Fredrick B. Wike and his wife, Linda J., of Harrisville.

He was preceded by his father, Wilmer S. Wike, who passed away May 1, 1992; and one brother, Edward Wike, who passed away Oct 8, 2006.

<B>WIKE</B> — The family of Jeffrey A. Wike, who died Sunday, Jan. 17, 2010, will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Larry E. McKinley Funeral Home</B>, 109 Emlenton St., Clintonville. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Pastor Dave Smith of the Church of the Nazarene of Franklin will officiate. Interment will take place at the Pleasantview Cemetery, Irwin Township, Venango County.Condolences can be emailed at www.mckinleyfuneralhome.net.
