John D. Morrow, 90, of Richland Township died Monday.

Born June 13, 1919, in Richland Township, he was the son of the late Ephriam and Grace E. (Mahle) Morrow.

He was the beloved husband for 59 years of the late Mildred "Robbie" (Robison) Morrow. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by eight siblings, Claire Hesse, Daniel K. Morrow, Fern Steiner, Emerson Morrow, Addison Morrow, Reed R. Morrow, Earl Morrow and Wayne Morrow.

He was the loving father of Robert E. Morrow of South Carolina, Thomas J. Morrow of South Carolina and Sally A. Doverspike of Adams Township, Mars. He also is survived by nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Mr. Morrow proudly served his country during World War II in the U.S. Army Air Corps.

He was an adjudicator for the federal Veterans Affairs until his retirement in 1978. He and his wife operated a general store in Gibsonia for many years.

He was a member of the John E. Mair Lodge 729 F&AM, the American Legion Post 548, the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, the Melwood Chapter AARP 2854 and the Gospel Fellowship Church in Valencia.

<B>MORROW</B> — The family of John D. Morrow, who died Monday, Jan. 11, 2010, will welcome friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at <B>Schellhaas Funeral Home</B>, Bakerstown, Richland Township. Additional visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 11 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Nick Protos officiating. Interment, with full military honors, will follow in Bakerstown Cemetery, Richland Township.Memorial contributions may be made to the Gospel Fellowship PCA, 161 McFann Road, Valencia, PA 16059 or to the Alzheimer's Association, 100 W.
