Bellis

Ronald V. Bellis, 89, formerly of Roosevelt Boulevard, Butler, died Thursday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Aug. 12, 1920, in Butler, he was a son of the late Erwood C. Bellis and Bertha A. (Zarnick) Clark.

He had worked as a welder in the silicon department for the Armco Steel plant in Butler for 38 years until he retired in 1985.

Ron was a member of the Armco Veterans' Club, and he enjoyed woodworking, furniture making, bird and deer watching, and going for his daily rides in the car.

He was a Roman Catholic.

Surviving is his daughter, T. Carolyn Sedoris of Butler.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn M. Bellis, who he married Dec. 6, 1941. She died Sept. 28, 2005.

<B>Bellis</B> — Friends of Ronald V. Bellis, who died Thursday, Jan. 7, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Monday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler. Funeral services will follow at 4 p.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. George Palick will officiate. Interment will take place in Greenlawn Burial Estates, Mount Chestnut.Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.Information also is available at www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
