Deriece L. Caro
Deriece L. Caro, 51, who lived at 611 Cokain Road, Harrisville in Irwin Township, Venango County, since 2005, died at 1:46 p.m. Thursday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born in Butler, Nov. 17, 1958, she was the daughter of John D. Barclay and Roxanne Orr Barclay.
Deriece was a senior program manager at USIS in Boyers, and she had worked for that company and its divisions for more than 30 years.
She was a Methodist.
She was a 1976 graduate of Franklin High School.
She enjoyed her family, friends, grandchildren, horses and horseback riding. She was an avid reader, gardener, canner and cook, and she also enjoyed country music.
Surviving are two children, Hope Dye and her husband, Chris, of Grove City and John F. Sloss Jr. of Harrisville; her parents, John and Roxanne Barclay of Petrolia; her companion, Richard McGowan of Harrisville; three grandchildren, Baylee, Mackenzee and Addyson Dye; a sister, Deb Barclay McAnallen and her husband, Bob McAnallen, of Butler; a brother, Butch Barclay and his wife, Leslie, of Petrolia; and several other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents and a brother, Michael J Barclay.
<B>CARO</B> — The family of Deriece L. Caro, who died Thursday, Jan. 7, 2010, will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at the <B>Cunningham Funeral Home</B>, 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City. Private family services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.Memorial tributes in Deriece's memory may be made to the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society and any organization that deals with animal rescue.
