Christine M. Szallai
Christine M. Szallai, 58, of Hopewell Township passed away Tuesday in UPMC Montefiore hospital, Pittsburgh.
Born Aug. 1, 1951, in Youngstown Ohio, she was a daughter of Albert and Theresa (Wojton) Susa of Ohio.
Mrs. Szallai was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School in Youngstown, Ohio, and she attended the Dana School of Music at Youngstown State University.
She was a talented piano teacher who taught students from the Boardman-Youngstown area and the greater Aliquippa area.
She was a member of the New Life Presbyterian Church, Hopewell Township, where she was very active in many ways, working side by side with her husband, the Rev. Dale A. Szallai, pastor of the church.
Christine was a devout Christian who loved the Lord and her family.
Surviving, in addition to her parents, are her husband, the Rev. Dale A. Szallai; two daughters and sons-in-law, Erin and Nathaniel Harvey of New Brighton and Rachel and John Harvey of Grayson, Ky.; three beloved grandsons, Colin, Ian and Owen Harvey; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, JoAnn and David Woytec of Charlotte, N.C., Cynthia and Peter Poulakos of New Middletown, Ohio, and Carolyn Kollar of Aurora, Ohio; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Szallai, who died Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2010, will be received from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at <B>Tatalovich Funeral Home and Cremation Services</B>, 2205 McMinn St., Aliquippa, www.tatalovichfuneralhome.com. Family and friends will gather at 11 a.m. Saturday in the New Life Presbyterian Church, 2795 Patterson Drive, Aliquippa, where a funeral service will be conducted by Rev. Richard Raines, pastor of the Fairview Reformed Presbyterian Church, Industry. Private interment will follow in St. John's (Burry's) Church Cemetery, New Sewickley Township.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to New Life Presbyterian Church, 2795 Patterson Drive, Aliquippa, PA 15001.
