Erma C. Gerwick, 84, of Mars died Monday morning at the Valencia Woods Nursing Center in Valencia.

Born in Emlenton, April 1, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Harriet Orr Crawford.

A homemaker, Mrs. Gerwick was a member of the Mars United Presbyterian Church.

She was the loving mother of Harriet Reddinger of Jacksonville, Fla., Carol Crawford of Winchester, Va., and Linda McHugh and her husband, Thomas, of Glenshaw. Also seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a sister, Isabel Hixon of Cleveland survive.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin L. Gerwick, who she married June 20, 1948, and who died Oct. 17, 2003. Also preceding her in death was a brother, Roy Crawford.
