Betty M. DiMichele
Betty M. DiMichele, 75, of Butler passed away Tuesday at UPMC Passavant.
Born in Sugar Creek Township, Venango County, July 25, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Orville and Mary Day Jones.
She was a retired school bus driver, having worked for 34 years for the various contractors that served Butler School District.
She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.
An avid bowler, she belonged to the Sixty-Plus Bowling League. She also enjoyed doing crafts.
She is survived by three sons, Angelo DiMichele and his wife, Rosary, of Butler, Vincent DiMichele and his wife, Terri, of Butler and Anthony "Sam" DiMichele, of Butler; one daughter, Betsey Gutherie and her husband, David, of Butler; one brother, Bill Jones of the state of Washington; one sister, Donna Black and her husband, Wayne, of the state of Washington; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee DiMichele Sr., who passed away March 30, 1991; one son, Lee DiMichele Jr.; and one grandson, Alexander.
<B>DiMICHELE</B> — Friends of Betty M. DiMichele, who died Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in <B>Martin Funeral Home</B>, 429 Center Ave., Butler. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church. Burial will take place in St. Michael Cemetery.The Bereavement Group of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church will meet at 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home to conduct a scriptural wake service.Information also is available at www.martinfh.net.
