Laidlaw

Linda L. Laidlaw, 69, of 241 Bestwick Road, Jackson Center, Jackson Township, Mercer County, died at 5:25 a.m. Monday in the Grove City Medical Center after an extended illness.

Born March 21, 1940, in Wheeling W.Va., she was a daughter of John and Wanda J. Miller Johnson.

She was a graduate of West Winfield High School in Butler County.

For many years, Linda worked at Spang Power Control of Sandy Lake, and then she graduated from nursing school and worked as a licensed practical nurse at the Polk Center and then at the Mercer County Living Center. She then retired in 2002 from Matric Inc. of Seneca, Pa., as an electrical technician.

She was a member of the Jackson Center Presbyterian Church.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She liked doing jigsaw puzzles.

Linda married Ronald C. Laidlaw on Aug. 11, 1956, and he survives at home. Also surviving are two daughters, Debra Boughner of Albany, Ga., and Kelly Miller and husband, Robb, of Grove City; one son, Ronald D. "Dale" Laidlaw and his wife, Laura, of Harrisville; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Three sisters, Jackie Wade of Saxonburg, Bonnie Shernock of New Bethlehem, and Marla Lash and her husband, Jim, of Natrona Heights; and one brother, Donald Johnson of Gunnison, Colo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Brian C. "Rusty" Laidlaw; and a brother, William Johnson.

<B>LAIDLAW</B> — Calling hours for Linda L. Laidlaw, who died Monday, Jan. 4, 2010, are from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today in the <B>Scott A. Black Funeral Home</B>, 99 Franklin St., Stoneboro. The funeral and committal service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with the Rev. Terry L. Greenlee, pastor of the Jackson Center Presbyterian Church, officiating. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, Sandy Lake Township, Mercer County.
