Lorraine (Spithaler) Koenig, 53, of Atco, N.J., formerly of Evans City, died Tuesday in New Jersey.

Born July 20, 1956, in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Carl "Shorty" Spithaler and Florence (Bastian) Spithaler.

Lorraine was a homemaker most of her life.

She was an active member of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Atco, N.J., and a member of the Louden Volunteer Fire Company in Atco. She was a former member of St. Matthias Roman Catholic Church in Evans City.

She was the beloved wife of John D. Koenig; loving mother of Andrew Koenig and his wife, Jennifer, of Galloway Township, N.J., Nicole A. Koenig, and Carl A. Koenig both of Atco, N.J.; devoted grandmother of Lucas E. Koenig and Maddox A. Koenig; and sister of Joseph Spithaler and Henry Bastian.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Kathy Hauserman.
