Ernest Eugene Brown, 82, of Butler passed away Monday at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Butler.

He was born April 29, 1927, in Portersville, the son of the late Clarence Audley Brown and Gladys (Dick) Brown.

He was a veteran of the Navy, having served in World War II.

He retired from Agway as a truck driver.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Rosanna) Barto of Butler, Mrs. Gary (Barbara) Herrit of Butler, with whom he made his home for the past six years and Mrs. Daniel (Patricia) Abels of Columbia, Tenn.; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Audley M. Brown of Texas and Earl Brown of Pennsylvania.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Maryanna V. Brown, who died Oct. 19, 2000; and two sisters.

<B>BROWN </B>— Friends of Ernest Eugene Brown, who died Monday, Dec. 28, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Mount Chestnut Presbyterian Church, 727 Old Route 422 W., Butler, with the Rev. Jeffrey Curtis officiating.
