Army Reserve 1st Lt.
Clay Johnson was mobilized and activated for a future deployment overseas to a forward operating base to serve in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.Johnson, a team leader with seven years of military service, is a member of the 412th Civil Affairs Battalion, in Columbus, Ohio.The lieutenant resides in Aynor, S.C., and his wife, Deirdre, is the daughter of Johan and Annelise Maritz of Butler. He is the son of Carol DeCarbo of New Castle.He is a 1995 graduate of Aynor High School, received a bachelor's degree in 2006 from Slippery Rock University and earned a master's degree from Ohio State University, Columbus, in 2009.———Army Reserve Pfc.
Seth Miller graduated from basic training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.He is the son of Lawrence Miller of Mars and the grandson of Lawrence Miller of Myerstown.Miller graduated in 2006 from Eastern Lebanon County High School, Myerstown, and received an associate degree in 2009 from YTI Career Institute in York, York County.———Army National Guard Pfc.
