Gloria Jean Lonchena
Gloria Jean Lonchena, 75, of Beech Road in Butler died Wednesday at her home.
Born March 28, 1934, in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Anna Slish Prokop and the late Rev. Prokop.
She was a graduate of Butler High School in 1953 and was active in her high school reunion committee.
Gloria was a homemaker, mother, and grandmother. She had formerly worked as a telephone operator for the Peoples Telephone Co. in Butler.
She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Lyndora and sang in the church choir as a young lady. She was also a former member of the Lyndora Drum and Bugle Corps.
Her husband, Walter Lonchena, who she married Feb. 21, 1959, survives. She also is survived by a son and his wife, Terry and Rachell Lonchena of Butler; a daughter, Courtney A. Lonchena of Frederick, Md.; two granddaughters, Venessa Lonchena and Kammerin Rikal-Lonchena; a brother and his wife, Donald and Diane Luchkiw of Cleveland, Ohio; a stepbrother, Stephen D. Prokop of Fennville, Mich.; and a close family friend, Daniel Dow of Fennville, Mich.
