Carl W. McCartney
Carl W. McCartney, 70, of Zelienople, formerly of Greenville, died Thursday at UPMC Passavant Cranberry Place in Cranberry Township.
Born Jan. 2, 1939, in Greenville, he was the son of the late William and Helen (Thompson) McCartney
Mr. McCartney was a 1956 graduate of Lakeview High School and attended a variety of vocational schools.
He was a former Delaware Township supervisor and a manager and a sales representative with Agway stores in Crawford County for 15 years.
Mr. McCartney retired after 19 years as a coach driver and tour guide for Anderson Coach and Tour in Greenville. He was currently employed as the coordinator and safety manager for Manheim Auto Auction in Cranberry Township.
He is survived by his wife, Joan McCartney, who he married Oct. 17, 1987; two daughters, Carla Campbell and her husband, David, and Paula Hemmings and her husband, Timothy, both of Greenville; a son, Jared McCartney and his wife, Teresa, of Burton, Ohio; two sisters, Nancy Holler (Ronald) of Conneautville, and Linda Williams (Dennis) of Jamestown; a brother, Robert McCartney (Carol) of Gilbert, Ariz.; a brother-in-law, Raymond Peterson of Hartstown; five grandchildren, Rebecca Everett (Brad), Eric Campbell, Benjamin Hemmings, and Megan and Hayden McCartney; four stepchildren; eight step-grandchildren; and four step-great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Charlotte Peterson.
<B>MCCARTNEY</B> — Friends of Carl W. McCartney, who died Thursday, Dec. 17, 2009, will be received from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday and from 3 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the <B>Boylan Funeral Home</B>, 324 E.
