Rita M. Brock
Rita M. Brock, 87, formerly of New Jersey and a resident of Butler since 1993, died Dec. 9 at the Sugarcreek Rest Home.
Born Sept. 3, 1922, in Jersey City, N.J., she was a daughter of the late Edward and Marie Finan Walsh.
As a homemaker, Rita was a very devoted wife, a loving and caring mother and grandmother. When she was a young lady, she worked for RCA in Jersey City during World War II.
She was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler and the St. Paul Guild and Christian Mothers.
The widow of John E. Brock, who died March 14, 1993, she had a daughter, Eva Marie Brock, and a brother, Edward Walsh, who also preceded her in death.
Surviving are two sons, John E. Brock and his wife, Susan Brock, of Butler, and James D. Brock of Jacksonville, Fla.; two daughters and their husbands, Karen and Kevin Bradley of Bradenton, Fla., and Susan and Carman Pagano of Norristown; a brother, Joseph Walsh of St. Petersburg, Fla., two sisters, Marian (Thomas) Howlett of Wycoff, N.J., and Faith (George) Soenghen of Jersey City, N.J.; 10 grandchildren, Jeffery Menges, Jennifer Brands, John M. Brock, Anne Marie Brock, Patrick and Joseph Pagano, Jessica Pitts, Benjamin Brock, Sarah Ball, and Edward Brock; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
<B>BROCK — </B>Friends of Rita M. Brock, who died Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009, will be received from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. St. Paul Guild and Christian Mothers will recite the rosary at 10:15 a.m. Saturday at the church. Private entombment will be at Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, Butler.Arrangements are by the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>.The family requests that, if desired, memorial donations be made to St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N.
