Margaret 'Peg' Cammisa
Margaret L. "Peg" Cammisa, 83, of Butler died Saturday at the Presbyterian Senior Care in Oakmont.
Born Sept. 23, 1926, in Harmony, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Anna Snodgrass Gibson Sr.
She loved gardening and spending time with her family.
As a member of the Easter Seals Society, she worked with crippled children. She continued her love of helping children by teaching at the day care center in the Pullman Standard Building for the Pennsylvania Association for Retarded Children.
She was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church.
She is survived by a son, Paul A. Cammisa and his wife, Shelley, of Oakmont; a brother, John Gibson of Butler; and two grandchildren, Ross Cammisa of Butler and Melissa Cammisa of Butler.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent P. Cammisa, who died May 17, 1991, and to whom she was married for 45 years; a daughter, Mary Cammisa Bopp; a brother, Frederick Gibson Jr.; and a sister, Julia Gibson Addington.
<B>CAMMISA</B> — Friends of Margaret L. "Peg" Cammisa, who died Saturday, Dec. 12, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the <B>Martin Funeral Home</B>, 429 Center Ave. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church. Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery.Members of the St. Paul Guild and the Christian Mothers will meet at the church at 9:35 a.m. Friday to recite the rosary.Information is available at www.martinfh.net.
