Charles H. Beckert

Charles H. Beckert Sr., 80, of Rochester Township, Beaver County, passed away Friday at his home.

Born Nov. 12, 1929, in Rochester, he was a son of the late Henry J. and Alice Zahn Beckert.

He was the retired owner of the former C.W. Retzer Printing Co., Vanport, formerly of Rochester.

He was a member of the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Rochester.

He was an Army veteran of the Korean War, having served in the intelligence branch.

Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Florence M. Ely Beckert; a daughter, Cheryl B. Kelker of Center Township; a son-in-law, Frank S. Kelker, Rochester; a son, Charles H. Beckert Jr., Bend, Ore.; and two granddaughters, Kristen E. and Meghan S. Kelker, both of Center Township.

<B>BECKERT</B> — Friends of Charles H. Beckert, who died Friday, Dec. 11, 2009, were received from 11 a.m. until the time of service at noon today in the <B>WILLIAM MURPHY FUNERAL HOME INC</B>., 349 Adams St., Rochester. His pastor, the Rev. Gregory S. Clagg, officiated.The family wishes memorial contributions be made to the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 393 Adams St., Rochester, PA 15074 or to the Mental Health Association in Beaver County, 105 Brighton Ave., Rochester, PA 15074
