Penelope Dunbar
Penelope "Penny" Dunbar, 61, of McDonald, Ohio, died Tuesday at her home.
She was born Sept. 24, 1948, in Butler, the daughter of the late August and Gladys (Frankenberger) Beck.
She was a medical technician for the Ankle and Foot Care Center.
She was a member of the Rockview Christian Church in Youngtown, where she was very active in church activities. She was the first lady of the church ministering with her husband, George, who is pastor.
Penny loved the lake and the ocean and enjoyed walking on the beach. She was loved by everyone who knew her. Penny's grandchildren were the love of her life.
She is survived by her husband, Pastor George W. Dunbar, whom she married April 1, 1967; two children, George W. "Wes" Dunbar Jr. (Shannon) of Leavittsburg, Ohio, and Angela Bouch (Andy) of North Jackson, Ohio; a brother, Ralph Beck of McDonald, Ohio; and five grandchildren, Mikayla, Marissa, Ashton, Katie and A.J.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, John Barry, and an infant sister, Donna Beck.
<B>DUNBAR</B> — Calling hours for Penelope "Penny" Dunbar, who died Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2009, will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the <B>McClurkin Funeral Home</B>, Girard, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.Donations may be made in Penny's name to the Food Outreach Program at Richard Brown United Methodist Church, 1205 Elm Road, Youngstown, OH 44505.
