Helen Y. Coco
Helen Y. Coco, 92, of Glenshaw died Friday under the care of the UPMC Cranberry Place nursing home.
Born Nov. 28, 1917, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Vito and Phyllis (Brendisi) Gorga.
Helen was a longtime member of St. Bonaventure Church with her late husband, who was a partner of the Coco Brothers Construction Co.
For the past eight years, she was a resident of Hampton Fields in Allison Park.
She was the beloved wife of the late Paul J. Coco, who died May 29, 1984. She also was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.
She was the loving mother of Sam M. Coco and his wife, Ruth, of Saxonburg and Lena C. Bagdon of Mars; and the sister of Antoinette Lawler of Florida and Duke Gorga of South Side. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
<B>COCO </B>— The family of Helen Y. Coco, who died Friday, Dec. 4, 2009, will welcome friends from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Schellhaas Funeral Home</B>, 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the St. Bonaventure Church, Glenshaw.
