Wotus

Frank John Wotus, 85, of Butler passed away at 1:17 a.m. Saturday at the Chicora Medical Center, where he had been since June.

He was born Aug. 20, 1924, in Ingomar, the son of the late Frank Stanley Wotus and the late Nellie (Wegrzyniak) Wotus.

He was a member of the St. Paul Catholic Church. He enjoyed collecting trains and going to train shows. He also was a Steelers and Pirates fan, but his greatest joy was his grandchildren.

He retired from the wheel and axle department of Pullman Standard.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps. during World War II.

Surviving are his two daughters, Debbie (Joseph) Shiver of Butler and Christine (Richard) Hahn of Chicora; two sons, Frank S. Wotus of Butler and Thomas (Bobbi) Wotus of Butler; three granddaughters; Shari (David) Mortimer, Jaime (Will) Shiver and Rebecca (Chris) Weichey; his grandson, Frank Wotus; two great-granddaughters, Sara and Britney Weichey; four sisters, Jennie Janosec, Sophie Sarnicki and Betty Nichols, all of Corry, and Josephine DeFabo of Greensburg; and a brother; Albert (Dorothy) Wotus of Corry.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy J. (Rickenbrode) Wotus, who died Oct. 3, 1992; an infant daughter, Kathleen Marie Wotus; a sister; and four brothers.

<B>WOTUS</B> — Friends of Frank John Wotus, who died Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler.
