Ruth L. Geist Gailey Fickenworth, 81, of Erie died Wednesday.

Born Nov. 30, 1928, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Lynn and Alberta Voland Geist.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Gailey; a son, Glenn Gailey; a brother, Albert Geist; and a sister, Vede Baron.

Surviving are two sons, Lynn Gailey (Debbie) and Ray Gailey (Midge); three daughters, Cheryl Gailey, Nancy Rankin (Dave), and Debra Eller (Dave), all of Erie; a daughter-in-law, Cindy Gailey of Silver Creek, N.Y.; and many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and siblings, Hazel Warheit and George Geist (Marge), both of Butler.
