Theodore 'Ted' Bosko
Theodore "Ted" Bosko, 71, of 537 Queenstown Road, Karns City, formerly of Irvine, Warren County, died at 5:44 a.m. Monday in the Residence For Renal Care at Shadyside, Pittsburgh.
He was born in Pittsfield, Warren County, Sept. 8, 1938, the son of the late Stephen and Mary Mitchell Bosko.
Ted was an inspector at the former National Forge for 35 years, retiring in 1999. He also was the Brokenstraw Township, Warren County, auditor for 20 years, and he served three years in the Army National Guard with Co. A, 112th Infantry Division.
He also was a member of the Youngsville Free Methodist Church, where he served on various committees.
Ted enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, camping and traveling, and he was an avid hunter.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Bonnie Steed Bosko, who he married Sept. 19, 1959, in the Titusville Free Methodist Church; a son, Daniel (Becky) Bosko of Virginia Beach, Va.; two daughters, Mary Beth (Sam) Skarote of High Point, N.C., and Marci (Tim) Rottman of Karns City; seven grandchildren, Dora, Robin, Sarah and Daniel Bosko of Virginia Beach, Va., Jessica and Elaina Skarote of High Point, N.C., and Jacob Yencik of Karns City; two great-grandchildren, Molly Bosko of Virginia Beach, Va., and Ayden Richardson of High Point, N.C.; three brothers, Stephen Bosko and Robert (Pamela) Bosko of Pittsfield and Rick (Connie) Bosko of Herminie, Westmoreland County; and four sisters, Pheobe (Jack) Draper of Canton, Ill., Emma (Alvin) Coody of Cleveland, Texas, Sally (Julius) Sitka of Youngsville and Cherie (Pat) Anderson of Tidioute.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Cody Mackie.
<B>BOSKO</B> — Friends of Theodore "Ted" Bosko, who died Monday, Nov. 30, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the <B>Hubert-Lewis Funeral Home</B>, Youngsville. The funeral and committal service will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the Youngsville Free Methodist Church. The Rev. Rick Hamrick, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Warren County Memorial Park.
