Turnblacer

Agnes May Turnblacer, 96, of Butler died at 10:40 a.m. Monday at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born June 23, 1913, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late James McGlincy and Nancy Agnes Pickering McGlincy.

Mrs. Turnblacer was a member of Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church.

She worked for the Butler School District teaching Latin and English and retiring in 1975.

Mrs. Turnblacer was a member of the Butler Area Chapter of Retired Teachers, the Pennsylvania State Educators Association and the Butler County Retired Public School Employees Association.

She was a graduate of Grove City College, Class of 1935, and she also attended graduate classes at the University of Pittsburgh and Duke University at Durham, N.C.

Along with her husband, she was a lifetime member of the Butler Country Club.

Mrs. Turnblacer was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Charles B. Turnblacer, who passed away June 25, 1992; four sisters, and four brothers.

Mrs. Turnblacer is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
