Raymond Zediker
Raymond R. Zediker, 66, of Butler died Monday evening surrounded by his loving family.
Born June 28, 1944, in Butler, he was a son of the late Raymond R. and Inez (Calairi) Zediker.
He was a graduate of Karns City High School and Clarion University, and he had taught science at the Lawrence County Vo-Tech School for 37 years until his retirement in 2004.
Ray was a member of the Chicora Moose, was an avid golfer, having played in its golf league and also had enjoyed hunting.
Surviving are his wife, Gloria J. (Winters) Zediker, who he married Dec. 28, 1985; a son, Raymond R. Zediker Jr. of Butler; a daughter, Barbara L. Pennington and her husband, Von, of Butler; four grandchildren, Zachary Zediker, Brandi Zediker, Benjamin Zediker and Macie Pennington; a brother: Kevin Zediker of Chicora; and two sisters, Carol Freshwater and Kim Kyriakis, both of Pittsburgh.
<B>Zediker</B> — Friends of Raymond R. Zediker, who died Monday, Nov. 29, 2010, will be received at <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church, 125 Buttercup Road, Meridian. Everyone, please meet at the church. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Burial Estates, Mount Chestnut.The bereavement committee of St. Fidelis Parish will meet at 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home for a parish vigil service.Information also is available at www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
