GRADUATES
Kathleen Matson-Smith of Butler graduated summa cum laude with a master of science degree in multimedia technology from Duquesne University.Matson-Smith presented educational research to the New York Communications Convention. She was recipient of a scholarship from the Duquesne University Tamburitzans.She is self-employed part-time as a videographer and video editor.She graduated summa cum laude in 2004 from Butler County Community College and summa cum laude in 2006 from Slippery Rock University.She is the daughter of Mary Ann Matson and the late Ronald E. Matson. She is married to Thomas Smith of Butler and is the mother of Thomas Smith and Angela Smith-Powers. She also has three grandchildren.-------------
Amanda Jaskot of Natrona Heights graduated Oct. 30 from St. Margaret School of Nursing.She graduated with high honors and was a recipient of the Southern Club scholarship. She is employed by HealthSouth of Pittsburgh as a registered nurse.She attended Slippery Rock University, Butler County Community College and the Community College of Allegheny County for pre-nursing requirements.A 2006 graduate of Butler High School, she is the daughter of John and Pamela Jaskot of Butler.
