SOUTH BUTLER STRIKE
Parents and students in the South Butler School District protest against the teacher strike outside Knoch High School on Sept. 22. Teachers for the district have been working without a contract since June 30, 2008, and have struck twice, with the one in September being the most recent. Wage-increase percentages have held up the deal, which is in the nonbinding-arbitration phase again.
