NEW PRISON
Corrections officer Randy Russell reviews operations in a common area of the new Butler County Prison on South Washington Street in June. After numerous construction delays, the prison finally became operational this year. The $43 million project was originally set to be done in late 2007. The new building has twice the capacity of the old Vogely Street building.
