Rearick Sr.

Donald G. Rearick Sr., 63, of Lyndora died Saturday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

He was born Nov. 24, 1945, in Butler, a son of the late Charles E. and Ellen McKissick Rearick.

Mr. Rearick was a roofer until he became disabled.

He was a member of the St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler.

He enjoyed music and especially loved to play the guitar.

Don is survived by his lifelong friend, Marlene Huff of Lyndora; two daughters, June E. Rearick of Las Vegas and Jeannie Shields and her husband, Tim, of Butler; three sons, Ronald C. Rearick of Connoquenessing, Charles W. Rearick and his wife, Brandi, of Butler and Donald G. Rearick Jr., also of Butler; a brother and his wife, Walter D. and Harriet Rearick of Mount Chestnut; and two sisters and their husbands, Carol and Cecil "Skip" Deal and Evelyn and Paul Rodgers, all of Butler. Also surviving are Marlene's children, John Huff and his wife, Lisa, of Prospect, Julie Huff of Wayne, N.J., and Mrs. Donna Rock of Lyndora. Ten grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews also survive him.

Two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.

<B>REARICK </B>— Friends of Donald G. Rearick Sr., who died Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler. Interment will follow at Butler County Memorial Park.The St. Paul Guild and Christian Mothers will meet at 9:40 a.m. Wednesday at the church to recite the rosary.Information also is available at www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
