Bette R. Jones, 81, of Zelienople, formerly of Prospect, died Tuesday at UPMC Passavant Cranberry.

Born Dec. 15, 1927, in Rochester, she was the daughter of the late John W. and Helen (Tindall) Rhall.

Mrs. Jones shared a special bond with her husband of 48 years, Allen E. Jones, who served in the Navy during World War II. They loved their country home and nature, feeding hundreds of hummingbirds each summer. Mrs. Jones enjoyed cooking and watching sports with Allen, especially college basketball and March Madness.

She was a Lutheran.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Allen E. Jones, who died Nov. 13, 1998.

<B>JONES </B>— Friends of Bette R. Jones, who died Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009, will be received from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the <B>Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home</B>, 219 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople, where funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. Saturday. Interment will be at the Greenlawn Burial Estates, Mount Chestnut.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Legion Post 417, P.O. Box 596, Prospect, PA 16052.
