Gertrude M. Smith, 82, of Cranberry Township died Sunday at St. John Specialty Care Center, Mars.

Born April 8, 1927, in Orbisonia, Huntingdon County, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Gladys (Gindlesperger) Mitchell.

Mrs. Smith attended North Hills Alliance Church.

She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and making dolls.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda C. Hull and her husband, Jim, of Cranberry Township; two sons, William E. Smith of Bradenton, Fla., and Stanley L. Smith and his wife, Anita, of Cincinnati, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph E. Smith, who died Dec. 26, 2005, and two brothers, Earl and Nevin Mitchell.
